A quick post

I wanted to really quickly post a pic of how I did my make up for my Day of the Dead inspired Halloween costume. It was the quickest make up application I've ever done. I had 10 minutes, Yes 10 minutes to get out and leave to the party. A bit stressful moment but fun memories. I hope you like it. Goodbye Halloween, Hello Thanksgiving harvest time!

Paper Playtime!

Happy Sunday everyone!!

I hope you all are having a nice relaxing Sunday spending time with your family and crafting! Well I found this blog Paper Playtime last weekend and they have fun challenges every Monday. You have a week to create something and post it to Mr. Linky Sunday nights. This week challenge is Challenge #20-Orange Main Color

Here is my interpretation of my card. I use Rock Princess cart. I am loving this cart so much right now. I'm so glad I got it. I have a few other images that I can't wait to try. All the glittery goodness is Stickles. I added some bling to the eyes and flowers from Micheal's-dollar section. The flowers I have no idea where they are from. I got them from a swap. The paper is scraps. That is what I am challenging myself to do everytime I make a card. USE MY SCRAPS!!!

Do you have scraps of your own? What do you do with them?

Sketch 85 - Cards and Patterns

Hi Everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Friday. Here in Cali it started off cold and very foggy in the morning, but then towards the afternoon there was a major turnaround with the weather. I went from wearing jeans and my fall boots to shorts and sandals because it became warm and humid. It's suppose to rain tomorrow but I have plans to go to Disneyland so I'm hoping it doesn't =)

Well off to this card. I found a blog call Card Patterns They have weekly sketch challenges. It's really fun and simple to join. All you have to do is intrepid the sketch they have and make it your own.

This was the sketch they had for this week:

This card is very simple but I really like the simplicity to it. I use my brand new Rock Princess cartridge for the icon and Gypsy Wanderings for the purple zigzag image squares. I hope you stop on by Card Patterns and join their challenges. You'll have fun. Let me know what you think and if you join a challenge. I'd love to see what you come up with!

Are there any challenges you like to participate in? Let me know, I would love to join more!

MPS- Saturday Challenge

Good Morning my Bloggy friends!!

MPS is having a Saturday challenge that she posted on 10-09-10. Head on over there and check it out! She is asking us to create something with a winter theme, now the only winter related cart I have is Snow Friends. (This is the first time I use it since I got it back in January ) I am hoping to find some good deals soon on some wintery carts. Or maybe, just maybe, win the Winter Frolic MPS is giving away. Fingers crossed.

This card is not one of my favs. It's really not speaking to me, but I wanted to still add it to her challenge and show you all. I did add some Glossy Accents to the boots and buttons after I took the picture Hopefully it gives it a lil more umph!

I wanted to add texture to this card and I did so by adding these Funky Fibbers by Making Memories. I've had them for years. I thought they looked like a scarf, so I added them. Well friends it is 1:18 a.m. in the morning here in Cali. I should get to bed. My crafty mojo already left to bed early, hence this card!

Companion Challenge # 8 - Spooktacular Colors

My Ghost have blue glimmer chalk on them. Can you see them glisten?

Easel Card

Hello Bloggies! Glad your back!

Over at Creations With Cristina she is having a Companion Challenge. This one sure is fun. You have to make a Halloween project using any colors except ORANGE and BLACK. You COULD use one or the other just not together.

I decided to really challenge myself and not use either color in my card. This was HARD!!! All the Halloween paper I had, had those colors in them somehow. Until I found this cool moons and stars one. I love the paper.

Hope you enjoy this card. I had so much fun making it. Like my green ghost?

Peachy Keen Challenge #38 October Inspiration

BEFORE

AFTER

Hi there bloggies. I am back with a home decor project. I am really excited about this one. Over at Peachy Keen Stamps they are having a challenge. You have to make something using the month of October. You can create anything you want. EXCEPT a CARD!!!! This challenge can be anything Autumn, Halloween, or Harvest. You have until October 17th. Good Luck!!

I decided to make a picture frame to add to my Halloween Decor. This picture frame goes well with my Halloween Banner I made yesterday. The best part of my project is that I RECYCLED!!! I've had this wooden frame for years, I was in the third grade when I got it. I've thought about throwing it away but always knew I could do something with it someday. Someday came today when I was on the Peachy Keen blog. Wooo hoo. I was so excited to use it and turn it into something I can use for years to come. I hope you enjoy my frame.

Have you ever made your own home decor project?

2nd Post in One Day!

Wow I could never IMAGINE making a card in less than 10-15 min! After I posted my Halloween banner, I wanted to challenge myself and see if I could create a card in a matter of minutes. To my surprise I did. I created this card in less than 15 minutes and I am so excited about it!

I only used half a white sheet of 12x12 card stock. The cartridge I used was Best Friends. I changed the colors of the icon to make it my own. I really like my card. I think it came out really cute. I stitched it up a bit, added some bling and Tada!! Done.

I hope you enjoy this card and the many more projects I will be making with the IMAGINE. I think my creative juices are finally flowing! All I need is a sentiment to add to this card. I really don't have any sentiment stamps. Anyone know of any good ones out there?

First Imagine Project

I'm so excited to finally be able to show my very first Imagine project. I used the Storybook cartridge for the letters. The Orange and green images come the the Imagine itself. It has about 15 icons installed in it. My favorite part was that I was able to add the rgb codes that I wanted to get the EXACT COLOR I wanted to use for this project. I'm going to be decorating my place this week with my Halloween decoration and this banner is a perfect fit for my fireplace. I'm excited can't wait to see what else I can make this machine do!
