Wacky Wednesdays #23!!

Hello Friends!!

Good Morning!!! and  Happy Wednesday!!  I am so super excited for this post. The wonderful and Talented Paula from More Than Favors asked me to be a Guest Designer this week!! AHHHHH!! Can you believe it!! I jumped for joy when I got the email!! Whoo hoo.

I am a huge fan of Paula and all her wonderful work. She uses the Cricut, the Imagine and post great videos!!! She is truly an inspiration. You have to go check her out!!

So this week, Paula said the challenge was a color challenge. The colors are PINK, GREEN, and BROWN. Here is what I came up with with. I hope you enjoy!

Here is a paper ornament.
I just loved how it turned out! It's to darn cute!
Especially in person!

To start you have to cut out 20 circles and fold 3 sides to form a
traingle in the middle. (see pic)
Start by glueing 5 together and build the ball from there.
I used the Nursery Tails Cart for the brown paper w/ tiny pink daisies on it.
The pink paper is from my stash.
A few bling for more pizzaz!
I also inked the sides of all the circles.

The felt heart is cut free hand and stuffed with cotton balls.
I adhered it together with the glue gun.
The stitching was done with a permanent marker.
Green glittery ribbon to finish it off.
*Don't forget to add the ribbon before you finish and glue the whole ball together.

Well what do you think? I hope you enjoy this project and are inspired to create one of your own. You can use this for any occasion just by simply changing out the color. Let me know if you give it a try. I'd love to see what you created!

THANKS AGAIN PAULA!!!!

Toodles!!

***Still super excited!! So, How about a giveaway?!! Want to win this ornament and some yummy candy? Become a follower and leave me a comment with a way to get in contact with you.  I will use random.org to find the winner. I will announce the winner on Saturday!!! Good Luck!!!! Enjoy!!!!***

A late post

Happy Friday!

HI friends here is a quick post. I made this oversized brandy glass for my friend as a X-mas present. I couldn't post it until I gave it to her. Well she has it now and loved it. This is the first time I worked with the Etching cream. It was really easy. I loved it. Now I just wish I can figure out a way to add color to the etching. Hmmm. Any ideas?

Howdy!!

Hi friends,

I hope you are having a great Wednesday evening!! I am spending the time cleaning the scraproom, no crafting tonight. Yikes! It will definitely resume tomorrow.

Well, I wanted to share with you that I ordered the YourStory from cricutmachine.com. They had a great bundle for $24.95! Can you believe it? It the full size YourStory, a paper trimmer, laminating sleeves, and book covers!! If your interested and think it's a great deal check it out HERE. I can't believe all I got for such a great price. I always wanted it but didn't want to spend $200 for it so I think I scored!!!!

Oh yeah! What do you think of the new look? I have been changing my background on this blog for quiet a while now. I was trying hard to find something that suits me and that matches my craft room perfectly. My colors are red, black and white! So I thought  this one was perfect!! I found it on LEELOU.COM. The great thing was that it was free. I have thought of paying someone to customize me one, but for now this works.

Ok, I'm off to finish cleaning before the special HSN anniversary show comes on for us crafters! Interested to see what Provo Craft has to offer. I believe Martha Stewart has a few new things to showcase herself! Have a great evening friends!

Wacky Wednesdays

Happy Monday Friends!

I hope everyone enjoyed the really quick weekend we had. Luckily I had a day off in observence to Martin Luther King's Birthday and I was able to catch up on a few things. Well today I finished a Valentine's Day Treat Mailbox for my nephew. Now I'd like to share that I worked on this for about 5 days on and off. It was hard to decide what to add to it since he is a boy. Flowers, glitter, to much ribbon was definitely out of question. So I ended up making it simple and adding just a few Valentine like touches. Enjoy.

Hug Me!

Hi Everyone!

I'm back! Whoo hoo, here is a card that I made super fast. I am getting to like my Imagine more and more. I love how easy I can add a pattern to a cricut image and cut!

Using all the coordinating colors is what I like the best. I don't have to go through my stash. My poor stash has been denied though. Ok on to my card. This is my very first ever Valentine theme card. I made this card to enter it on Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge. This thursday we were able to use any cartridge we liked and any colors. As long as you used a heart in it somewhere.

I am also entering this card in Erin Lee Creative Music Mondays Challenge. Erin and her bestie Angelica have started this Challenge. Here are the specifics per Erin:

"My bestie Angelica over at Handmade By Angelica and I have some exciting news! We are starting a new weekly challenge called Music Mondays. We both have a HUGE love for music and realize how much music really inspires and fosters creativity, and for that we are grateful. Music really does soothe the soul. So each week, we will trade off being the host and create a challenge with a new song to inspire you! And of course, we will have all kinds of fun prizes to win! Doesn't this sound like so much FUN?" ---Erin

So this is what I came up with for the challenges. I really love it. Something about it, it just makes me smile when I see it. I'm sorry if the pictures do not do it justice. Please believe me this card is really nice in person, and I don't say that aout any of my cards. ;)

"Imagination Monday" Chinese New Year

Well hello friends!

Thank you very much for stopping by. I am very excited that I was able to use my Imagine again today. I have been a bad Mom and Negleted it. =( So today it was "Imagine Day"

Ok on to my card. Our Friend Emma My Creative Time is having the first "Imagination Monday" of this year. Her and Sarah Pink Cricut get together and host Imagine challenges. This Monday's challenge was to create a "Chinese New Year" project using your Imagine. Anyone that doesn't have an Imagine is also welcomed to join.

Ok all I want to say is SARAH and EMMA you sure CHALLENGED me today! Boy was I going a lil crazy trying to figure out what to cut. (Since I don't have any cart that goes with this theme) Well while pondering for an hour I remembered of a book that I read to my students a couple years ago and it talked about the Chinese New Year. At the end of the story a little boy goes out to the celebration and there are dragons and FIREWORKS!!! Whoo hoo Fireworks is what I decided to cut out. I knew I had that =)

Here is my card. Hope you enjoy this one, Thanks Emma and Sarah for this challenge!!!

So what I decided to do was to add an Asian element to the card
to somehow show the theme
I googled "Gung Hei Fat Choi" script and that was to difficult
to try to replicate. So while browsing I found this phrase.
It means "JOY"

I used Black Acrylic paint to paint phrase
Sprinkled MS Onyx glitter

Fireworks cut @ 1.5
Shadow  flood filled black
Used Hopscotch cart for yellow background paper color
and patterns
Gold Stickles for POP!!!
I embossed the paper with the Devine Swirls and added stickles to it also. I wanted to give the illusion as if you were looking up at the sky and seeing all the wonderful sparkle the Fireworks let out! What I plan to do on the inside is find a Happy New Year Stamp and stamp it!

Toodles!!! Have a great day!
